Does Nasal Spray Addiction Truly Exist?

As many of my readers know, I have been a hard core allergy and sinus sufferer, since I’m a little girl, and over the years, I’ve figured out how to control them instead of them controlling me. It is this life long battle and my constant use of nasal spray products that lead me on my search for an all natural solution.  There has been a lot of debate around the subject of nasal spray addiction, (NSA) arguing as to its merit as a real addiction or not, but I say… it’s an individual thing, and don’t you dare tell an addict It’s NOT REAL!

Don’t take my bottle!

I began using nasal sprays at a very early age, and one thing I remember very clearly, is that my nasal spray bottle, was my security blanket, and god forbid, I forgot it then I became very anxious and nervous.

I entered adulthood clinging to my nasal spray bottle like Linus clinging to his blanket.  The subject of NSA caught my attention one day, and it was perfectly clear to me that I was an addict.  But there was so much controversy…was it possible to be addicted or NOT? And what exactly was I addicted to?  So many professionals debate this subject, so how do you know if you’re addicted? Ask yourself a few questions:

·         Do you have a nasal spray bottle everywhere ie: car, office, etc.

·         Do you wake up in the middle of the night several times for a dose?

·         Have you been using it longer than the manufacturer recommends?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, than you could have an addiction.  Some say the addiction is to certain ingredients like phenylephrine found in Neo-synephrine, or oxymetazoline found in Afrin, and others may say that you simply get used to breathing so well, that you just don’t want to stop.

For me, I believe it was both.  Once you start breathing clearly, you certainly don’t want to stop, but admittedly, I exceeded the recommended dosage, and that’s where I believe I became dependant on the ingredients.

An alternative solution exists!!

Over time, I managed to quit using these products, but I never quit my addiction to breathing freely!  It has been my mission to find an alternative solution that will allow me to live my life as closely to an allergy free person, as possible.  I didn’t want antihistamines or decongestants so I looked for an all natural product that would allow me to:

·         Breath  freely and clearly

·         Use it daily as needed with no side effects

·         Use it safely without fear of addiction

Neti pots and saline rinses are good for cleaning and clearing nasal passages, but for me that’s a chore and besides, I still like a nasal spray.  Two years ago I found Sinol Allergy Nasal Spray and finally after all these years, I am the closest I have ever been to being allergy free.  I guess you can call me an addict, because I am addicted to breathing freely and until they find a cure, I’ll always have my all natural nasal spray on hand.

As Sinol’s Consumer Advocate, I look forward to sharing the latest news and tips on all natural ways to cure your allergy and headache problems.  Please feel free to email me at: alisonpisani@sinolusa.com or learn more about Sinol Nasal Spray by visiting www.Allergy-Relief-Sinol.com
